Sell or give away your Apple Vision Pro
Before you sell or give away Apple Vision Pro
Before you sell or give away your Apple Vision Pro, see the Apple Support article What to do before you sell or give away your Apple Vision Pro and make sure you perform the following tasks:
Back up your Apple Vision Pro. If you replace one Apple Vision Pro with another, you can use the setup assistant to restore the backup to your new Apple Vision Pro.
If you’re replacing your Apple Vision Pro with another one you have on hand, you can use extra free storage in iCloud to move your apps and data from one Apple Vision Pro to another. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset This Apple Vision Pro > Get Started, then follow the instructions.
Sign out of iCloud and the iTunes & App Store. Go to Settings > [your name], scroll down, tap Sign Out, enter your Apple ID password, then tap Turn Off.
Erase all content and settings that contain personal information.
About Activation Lock
Activation Lock helps keep your device secure if it’s lost or stolen. Even if Apple Vision Pro is restored, Activation Lock prevents anyone from reactivating your device without your permission.
Here’s how it works:
Activation Lock turns on automatically whenever Apple Vision Pro is signed in with an Apple ID or restored from an iCloud backup (if it doesn’t already have Activation Lock from a previous owner).
After Activation Lock is turned on, your Apple Vision Pro is linked to your Apple ID.
Your Apple ID password or device passcode is required before anyone can turn off Activation Lock, erase your device, or set up and use your device.
