Add OAuth apps to Apple Business
You can create and register an OAuth app under your Apple Business account to let you manage other organizations’ brand, location, and showcase data. That organization first needs to grant you administrative access.
Add an OAuth app
To create an OAuth app in your Apple Business account, you need to have the following:
The name of the app or website.
The name or email address of a contact who is already added as a team member in your Apple Business organization.
The URL that will redirect after the user is authorized.
Note: Only partners that have production API access to Apple Business and users with the role of Organization Administrator may create an OAuth App.
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role is an Organization Administrator.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Settings > Partner Access.
Select API, then select Add OAuth App.
Enter the following information in the Add OAuth dialog:
The name of the app or website
The name of the user in Apple Business
A URL that will redirect the authentication
Note: You can add up to 10 redirects per OAuth app.
Select Add.
Copy the following, then securely share them with the administrator or developer of the OAuth app or website.
Client ID
Client Secret
Important: You can’t view the Client Secret again, so make sure you copy it correctly. If you lose it or forget it, you need to create a new one, even if you locate the original one.
Select Done.
The new OAuth method appears in the OAuth Apps list.
If you have more than one OAuth app, repeat this task.
Edit an OAuth app
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role is an Organization Administrator.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Settings > Partner Access.
Select API, then select the existing OAuth App.
Edit any of the following in the Edit OAuth dialog:
App name
Contact
Add a new redirect URL.
You can add up to 10 redirects per OAuth app.
If necessary, you can create a new client secret.
Important: If you create a new client secret, the OAuth app is disconnected until the app replaces the old secret with the new one.
Select Done.
Delete an OAuth app
Unless absolutely necessary, you shouldn’t delete an OAuth app. When you delete an existing OAuth-approved app in Apple Business, the connection is removed and previous grants from your clients are also revoked.
Important: You can’t undo this action.
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role is an Organization Administrator.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Settings > Partner Access.
Select API, then select the existing OAuth app.
Select “Delete OAuth app.”
Select Delete.
