Manage location information in Apple Business Connect
In Apple Business Connect, locations play the most important role for your business. When a customer selects your location from Maps (or receives your location information shared from another customer and opens it in Maps), they want to see information particular to that location. You can manage the information that appears and the photos that are shown, as well as highlight new items, deals, sales, or other promotional content (called Showcases).
Locations are associated with a business. When you set up your first business, you can set specific information for all locations, such as the logo and cover photo (together called a Place Card header). When you add locations, you can use a different logo and cover photo for each location.
Showcases, on the other hand, are specific to each location.
Location information customers can’t see
Locations in your company also contain the following information that customers can’t view:
Default language: The default language for that location. See Language list for Showcases.
Store code: The store code—for example, 02, 03, and so on.
Verification date: The date your location claim was verified by Apple.
Third-Party Partner ID: An identifier you can enter to refer to your location. This is optional for small businesses but required for Enterprise companies and Third-Party Partners, so they can take advantage of the Apple Business Connect API.
Location workflow
When a location is created, add the important information first, such as address, phone number, and hours. Next, decide if you want to use the same or a different logo and cover photo for the new location. Finally, when you have your new location information added, you can prepare Showcases for that location. It’s important to keep this information up to date and complete, so plan to regularly review and update existing location information to make sure your business is appearing at its best to customers.
Location verification
While some information, such as address and hours, doesn’t require verification from Apple, all logos, photos, and Showcases do require verification and must comply with the photo and text standards and guidelines.
