Request API access for Apple Business Connect
You can allow developers to connect to Apple Business Connect using an Apple-provided API. To request access for a Service Account, you must be an administrator of a Third-Party Partner approved by Apple.
A Service Account is a special type of account intended to represent a system that needs to authenticate and be authorized to access the Apple Business Connect API.
To view a task below, select the plus button next to its title.
Review the API documentation
In Apple Business Connect, sign in with a user that has the role of Administrator.
If you’re the administrator for more than one company, select the appropriate company from the Company list .
Select your initials at the bottom left of the sidebar, then select Support.
Select API Documentation.
You can now work with your Apple representative to integrate the API. As you approach production launch, please create a Service Account account.
Create a Service Account
In Apple Business Connect, sign in with a user that has the role of Administrator.
If you’re the administrator for more than one company, select the appropriate company from the Company list .
If necessary, add a team member to hold the Service Account role. See Add team members.
Select your company , then select API.
Select Add Service Account.
Provide a service name, email, and define the Service Account role permission—either Read + Write or Read Only.
Select Continue.
The Client ID and the Client Secret Key are shown for that Service Account.
Copy this information in a safe place.
Important: If you cancel this window without copying the Client Secret Key, you must generate a new one.
Select Done.
You’ve successfully created a Service Account.
Remove a Service Account
In Apple Business Connect, sign in with a user that has the role of Administrator.
If you’re the administrator for more than one company, select the appropriate company from the Company list .
Select your company , then select API.
Select the Service Account.
Select Remove, then select Remove.
The Service Account is removed and all connections to Apple Business Connect for the Service Account are also removed.
