Set channel strip input format in Logic Pro for iPad
The input format determines the mono or stereo state of the channel strip.
Mono: The channel has a mono input format. The level meter shows a single column.
Stereo: The channel has a stereo input format. The level meter shows two independent columns.
Left: The channel has a left channel input format. Only the left channel of a stereo audio file is played back. The level meter shows a single column.
Right: The channel has a right channel input format. Only the right channel of a stereo audio file is played back. The level meter shows a single column.
Set the channel strip input format
In Logic Pro, tap the Input slot on a channel strip.
Under Channel Format, tap the input format for the channel strip.
Tap outside the dialog to close it.
Note: You can change the iPad microphone orientation for audio input by tapping the Microphone Orientation Setup button below the Channel Format pop-up menu, then choosing a different orientation in Audio Devices settings. Changing the microphone orientation may also change the input format.
