Intro to tracking guidelines in Motion
Selecting a good tracking reference pattern in a clip or image sequence is crucial to achieving accurate tracking results. However, due to myriad differences in source clips, tracking in one pass rarely yields perfect results. More often, a successful track combines automatic and manual tracking, experimenting with parameter settings (such as the Point or Object tracking modes and the Point Cloud or Machine Learning analysis modes), and resetting reference points at various locations in the clip.
Additionally, a successful track may employ more advanced techniques, such as smoothing a track curve or converting tracking data to modifiable animation curves in the Keyframe Editor, or manually coaxing your tracking analysis.
