Have your Mac speak audio descriptions for videos
Audio descriptions provide a spoken narration of important visual content in movies and TV shows. You can turn on audio descriptions while watching a video or turn them on by default for all videos (when available).
Turn on audio descriptions for a video
If the video you’re watching includes audio descriptions, you can turn them on in the same way you turn on subtitles or change audio languages. This works in apps such as the Apple TV app and QuickTime Player.
Move the pointer over the video to reveal the playback controls.
Click
, then choose an option with audio descriptions (AD).
Turn on audio descriptions for all videos by default
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
in the sidebar, then click Descriptions. (You may need to scroll down.)Turn on “Play audio descriptions when available”.
