General Audio project settings are used to determine the audio behavior in Logic Pro for Mac.

The default sample rate is 48 kHz for a new Logic Pro installation or when you reset the settings.

Apple Loops: High quality checkbox: This setting enables a newer, better-sounding Apple Loops playback algorithm introduced with Logic Pro X 10.4. The setting is unselected when you open projects created in older versions of Logic Pro to ensure that they sound like they did originally.
When Enable Complete Features is selected in Advanced settings, the following settings are available:

0 dB: Setting the pan knob to the center, hard left, or hard right routes the track’s signal to the output channels without any level changes. A signal panned to the center position may sound louder than signals panned hard left or right.
–3 dB: When panned to the center, a track’s signal is routed to the left and right output channels with a –3 dB level decrease. Moving the pan knob hard left or right routes the signal to the left or right output channel without any level change.
–3 dB Compensated: When panned to the center, a track’s signal is routed to the left and right output channels with the same level. Moving the pan knob hard left or right routes the signal to the left or right output channel with a +3 dB level increase.
–4.5 dB: When panned to the center, a track’s signal is routed to the left and right output channels with a –4.5 dB level decrease. Moving the pan knob hard left or right routes the signal to the left or right output channel without any level change.
