
Edit assignments in Schoolwork
After you create an assignment, you can edit the assignment until you mark it complete or delete it.
If you remove a student from a published assignment, the student can’t access the assignment and Schoolwork removes the student’s assignment data.
Edit an assignment
In the Schoolwork app
, do one of the following in the sidebar:
Tap Recent Activity, then tap Due or Scheduled
Tap Drafts
Tap Favorites
Tap a class
Do one of the following:
Touch and hold the assignment you want to edit, then tap Edit.
Tap the assignment you want to edit, then tap Edit Assignment in the assignment details view.
Edit assignment details: Add, remove, and update assignment titles, students, due dates, delivery dates, activities, instructional text, and media.
To reorder files in assignment instructions, touch and hold the file, then drag it to a new location in the instructions. To remove a file, tap
.
To publish your updated assignment, tap Publish.
If you specified a delivery date, tap Schedule. Schoolwork saves the assignment in the Scheduled tab to send on the specified date and time.
When you edit an active assignment, keep in mind:
You can only add or remove students from the original class. You can’t change the original class or add students from another class. To use an assignment for another class, copy the assignment, then send the assignment to the new class.
You can only edit the file sharing permissions for new activities. You can’t change the file sharing permissions of previously published activities.
