Manage the built-in device management service in Apple Business
Apple Business has a built-in device management service.
When you use the built-in device management in Apple Business, you have access to Configurations and Blueprints. See the following:
Turn on the built-in device management
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to view and manage devices using built-in device management.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Devices > Management Services.
Select Add new device management service.
Select Turn on included device management, then select Continue.
Optionally, select Create Blueprint to create your first Blueprint or close the window.
Turn off the built-in device management
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to view and manage devices using built-in device management.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Devices > Management Services.
Select Built-in device management.
Note: If you have an AppleCare+ for Business plan, you need to remove it before you can proceed.
Select Turn Off, then, if necessary, do one of the following:
If there are no devices assigned, carefully read the warning, then select Turn Off Device Management.
Select the service you want to reassign the devices to, then select Reassign & Delete.
Select None from the services list, then select Unassign & Delete.
