Erase similarly colored areas of an image in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
Use the Smart Erase tool to remove similarly colored areas of an image. This tool is especially useful when you want to remove solid-color backgrounds.
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, choose a layer from the Layers sidebar.
Choose Tools > Smart Erase (or select it from its tool group).
Adjust the controls in the Smart Erase pane:
Opacity: Drag the slider to adjust the transparency of the Smart Erase tool.
Sample all layers: Select this checkbox to make the color fill account for all layers in the canvas.
Smooth Edges: Select this checkbox to fill only the opaque areas of an image.
Drag in the canvas to erase.
As you drag, color tolerance increases, erasing a larger area of the image.
