Convert text into a shape or pixel layer in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
You can convert text to a vector shape and edit its form or convert text to pixels, so that you can edit it with pixel-based tools, such as the Erase tool.
In Pixelmator Pro for Mac, select a text layer in the Layers sidebar.
Do either of the following:
Convert the text to a shape: Choose Format > Convert to Shape.
Convert the text to pixel layer: Choose Format > Convert to Pixels.
