
View photo bursts in Photos on Mac
You can use your iPhone to shoot a burst of photos in rapid succession, enabling you to get a good shot of fast-moving subjects. When you import a photo burst into Photos, it appears in Imports and Bursts. When you open a burst, you can view all the shots in the burst and select your favorites to work with.
Go to the Photos app
on your Mac.
Click Bursts below Media Types in the sidebar.
If you don’t see Bursts in the sidebar, hold the pointer over Media Types in the sidebar, then click
.
Double-click the burst you want to view.
To select photos from the burst, click Make a Selection in the upper-left corner of the photo.
Click each photo that you want to save as an individual photo.
When you click a photo, a checkmark appears on the thumbnail below the photo.
Tip: Use the right and left arrow keys to view the different photos in a burst.
When you’ve finished selecting photos, click Done.
Do one of the following:
Keep the selected photos and delete the others in the burst: Click Keep Only Selection.
The selected photos appear individually in Imports, and unselected photos are placed in Recently Deleted. The burst no longer appears in Imports or in the Bursts album.
Make the selected photos appear individually and keep all of the photos in the burst: Click Keep Everything.
The selected photos appear individually, and the photo burst remains unchanged.
