Syndicated content in Apple News
You can publish syndicated content to Apple News, but the majority of your channel’s articles must be original content created by your newsroom.
Articles produced by a syndication or wire service and published to your channel must be marked as syndicated. To mark an article as syndicated, set the value of the contentGenerationType property to “syndicated” in the Apple News Format metadata. You must also make it clear in the article itself (including in the byline) that the article was provided by a wire service.
If the syndicated content was created using AI tools, set the value of contentGenerationType to “AI” and make it clear in the article itself (including in the byline) that the article was produced by a wire service, as well as produced by or with the assistance of artificial intelligence. You’re responsible for the accuracy of all content published to Apple News — including content created with or by a third party. You’re also expected to correct any errors in a timely and transparent manner.
