Make sure your iPhone can access the internet through a Wi-Fi network or a cellular connection, then launch Apple Configurator
on your iPhone.
Enter your Managed Apple ID. You must have a role that allows Apple devices to be assigned to Apple School Manager, Apple Business Manager, or Apple Business Essentials, such as Administrator, Site Manager (Apple School Manager only), or Device Enrollment Manager.
If necessary, go to Settings in the Apple Configurator app, then do any of the following:
Select the network configuration profile you want to use
Select the MDM server assignment method:
None: Don’t automatically assign devices to an MDM server.
If you select None, you must complete the task, Assign a device to an MDM server.
Default: Automatically assign devices to the default MDM server configured in Apple School Manager, Apple Business Manager, or Apple Business Essentials for a specific device type (for example, iPhone, iPad, or Mac).
Specific: Automatically assign devices to a specific MDM server.
