
Edit settings in Apple Business
In Apple Business, depending on your role, you can edit specific organisation settings. To check whether you’re able to complete these tasks, see Role permissions.
Change the time zone and language
You can change the time zone and language for mail messages and PDFs sent to you from Apple Business.
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to view the organisation’s details.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Settings > Organisation.
Select Edit next to Time Zone & Language to change your time zone.
Select Save.
Provide tax information
Apple Business uses the tax information your organisation enters for both subscription and apps purchases and can be set or changed by any user whose role has permissions to submit tax status for app and book purchases and subscriptions. If you change your tax status in the middle of a month, this is reflected immediately for any new app purchases and on your next subscription receipt.
You can update the tax information at any time.
Note: Required tax information may vary depending on where your organisation is located. Consult with your tax adviser for information on the tax type appropriate for your business or organisation.
Canada and the United States
A user whose role has permissions to submit tax status for app and book purchases and subscriptions can enter your tax information as taxable or tax-exempt. If you select tax-exempt in Canada or the United States, you need to provide one of the following:
An Apple Customer Number (ACN)
A new certificate that you create using the Exemption Certificate Wizard
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to submit tax status for app and book purchases and subscriptions.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Settings > Organisation.
Under Apps and Books, select Edit.
Choose Taxable or Tax-Exempt.
If you select Taxable, read the dialog, then select Done.
If you select Tax-Exempt, do one of the following:
If you have an ACN, enter your ACN, select Continue, then select Done.
If you don’t have an ACN, select Exemption Certificate Wizard, select Submit Tax Exemption, then step through the Exemption Certificate Wizard.
When you’re finished, select Done.
Other countries or regions
A user whose role has permissions to submit tax status for app and book purchases and subscriptions can enter the applicable tax information.
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to submit tax status for app and book purchases and subscriptions.

In your browser, choose Settings > Organisation.
Under Apps and Books, select Edit.
The following is a list of tax information an organisation could provide based on their location:
Organization location
Tax information type
25 European member countries
Value Added Tax (VAT) Number
South Korea
Business Registration Number
Singapore
Goods and Services Tax Number
Turn on Custom Apps
Custom Apps are apps modified or developed to meet your organisation’s specific business needs by you or an external developer. These apps are deployed using managed licences and have the same management options as App Store apps. See Learn about Custom Apps.
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to submit tax status for app and book purchases and subscriptions.
To view roles and permissions, see Intro to roles and permissions.
In your browser, choose Settings > Organisation.
Turn on Custom Apps.
Send your Organization ID (located in Settings > Organisation > Details) to the app developer.
After you share your Organisation ID with them, they add your organisation to their approved list.
You can now get any additional Custom Apps licences from the Custom Apps section of Apps and Books.
View terms and conditions and licence agreements
Depending on your role and permissions, in each licence agreement, you can view the licence name, when Apple updated the licence, the date the licence was accepted and the name of the user with the role of Organisation Administrator who accepted its terms and conditions.
In Apple Business, sign in with a user whose role has permissions to submit tax status for app and book purchases and subscriptions.

In your browser, choose Settings > Legal Terms.
If necessary, select More
next to any licence agreement to download it as a PDF.
