Get the Apple TV app and sign in
You can use the Apple TV app on any of the following:
iPhone, iPad, or Mac
An Android or Windows device
Your cable or satellite service
A web browser
To start watching, install the app and sign in with your Apple Account.
Note: Some TVs and streaming devices don’t support purchases in the Apple TV app. Use your Apple Account to buy, rent, or subscribe in the Apple TV app on an Apple device or other supported streaming device, then sign in to the same Apple Account on your TV or streaming device to watch.
Sign in to the Apple TV app on an Apple device
Go to the Apple TV app on your device and do the following:
iPhone or iPad: From the Home screen, tap
, then follow the onscreen instructions.Mac: Click Apple Account in the bottom-left corner, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Note: Update the software on your device to get the latest Apple TV app features.

Get the Apple TV app on a non-Apple device
Make sure your device is connected to your WiFi network.
Do any of the following:
TV or streaming device: From the home screen, go to Search.
Windows device: Go to the Microsoft Store.
Android device: Go to the Play Store.
Search for Apple TV.
Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the Apple TV app.
Select the Apple TV app to open it, then sign in with your Apple Account if prompted.
Get the Apple TV app on your cable or satellite service
You can find Apple TV as an app on receivers from your cable or satellite provider.
Note: The Apple TV app on cable and satellite services is limited to Apple TV movies and TV shows, Major League Soccer (MLS), and in some countries or regions Formula 1®, Friday Night Baseball, or both. It doesn’t include Apple TV channels or other features found in the Apple TV app on Apple devices, streaming devices, and smart TVs.
Watch in a web browser
Go to tv.apple.com to subscribe to and watch Apple TV in a web browser.
If you already have an Apple Account, you can sign in to an existing subscription. You may be asked to add or verify a credit card to ensure the account holder has authorized viewing on the web. For more information, see the Apple Support article Parental controls for Apple TV on the web.
Note: If you experience difficulties with autoplay functionality while watching Apple TV in a web browser, try turning off any ad blocker extensions or apps you’ve installed.
