Adjust Apple TV app privacy settings on a TV or living room device
You can choose whether to use your play history for personalized recommendations, or clear your play history from the Apple TV app.
Go to the Apple TV app
on your TV or living room device.Open the sidebar, then select Settings.
Adjust any of the following privacy settings.
Option
Description
Clear Search History
Select to clear your search history.
Use Play History
Turn on to use your play history for personalized recommendations and your watchlist.
Clear Play History
Select to remove information about what you’ve watched which is synced with the Apple TV app on other devices.
This also removes TV shows and movies from your Continue Watching and Watchlist rows.
Location
Turn on to use your local location to determine what’s available.
Share Apple TV App Analytics
Turn on to send app analytics data to Apple to improve its products and services.
