Share your printer on Mac
You can share your printer with another Mac or with a UNIX computer. The computers must be on the same local network as your Mac, and the Mac users must be using OS X 10.4 or later.
Printer sharing is for non-network or non-wireless printers that typically are plugged in directly to your computer. You don’t need to share network, wireless, or AirPrint compatible printers because they are already shared on your network.
- On your Mac, choose Apple menu   in the sidebar, then click Sharing. (You may need to scroll down.) in the sidebar, then click Sharing. (You may need to scroll down.)
- Click  next to Printer Sharing. next to Printer Sharing.
- Turn on Printer Sharing. 
- Below Printers, select the printer you want to share. 
- Do one of the following to choose who can use the printer: - Let everyone use the printer: Click the pop-up menu next to Everyone, then choose Can Print. 
- Choose who can use the printer: Click  at the bottom of the Users list, then select users. at the bottom of the Users list, then select users.
 
- Click Done. 
To remove a user, select the name, then click  . You can’t remove Everyone.
