Before you use the Shazam app
This guide is for the Shazam app on iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, visionOS 26, or later. This guide is also for the Shazam app on Android.
To ensure the best possible Shazam experience, do the following:
Get the Shazam app for all your devices, or if you’ve already downloaded the app, make sure it’s updated to the latest version.
On Apple devices: Sign in to the same Apple Account on all your devices and make sure your iCloud and Shazam app settings are correctly configured so that songs you identify using Control Center, Siri, or Shortcuts are synced to the Shazam app.
On Android devices: Sign in with your email or Google Account and get the Apple Music app for Android.
If you’re not already a subscriber, join Apple Music to listen to songs in full (on Apple devices) or song previews (on Android devices) in the Shazam app. As an Apple Music subscriber, you can listen to songs in full in Apple Music and Apple Music Classical, and add your identified songs to Apple Music playlists.
If you’re a classical music fan, get the Apple Music Classical app to quickly open identified songs in Apple Music Classical.
Note: The availability of the App Store, subscriptions, and services vary by country or region. See the Apple Support article Availability of Apple Media Services.
Now that you’re up to date, it’s time to start discovering music!
