Prerequisites for Health app data Share with Provider
After your patients can connect to your organization in the Health app for health record downloads, you can return to Apple Business Register to add support for Health app data Share with Provider (U.S. only).
This feature allows your patients to securely share their data from the Health app with providers in your organization (iOS 15, iPadOS 17, or later required). The data—including heart rate, blood pressure, exercise minutes, hours of sleep, lab results, heart health notifications, immunizations, and more—is accessible from the Apple Health app Data tab, button, or link in your EHR application.
To participate in Health app data Share with Provide, your organization must meet the following criteria:
Your organization has completed the registration process for Health Records in the U.S., as previously described in Publish your organization on iPhone and iPad.
You have identified a signing authority to review and accept legal agreements on behalf of your organization.
Before publishing your organization to the Sharing screen in the Health app, your signing authority needs to accept the Health app data Share with Provider Addendum to your organization’s Health Records Directory Listing Agreement, and they need to accept the Health app data Share with Provider HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.
Your organization has a test patient account configured and provisioned for Health Records.
The test patient account is either provided by your EHR vendor or set up by your organization.

Your organization must use one of the electronic health record (EHR) systems supported by Health app data Share with Provider.
