Publish your site in Public Site Manager
Publish your site to make your content live in the iTunes U catalog and visible to the public. Publishing affects all pages listed in the Publish view.
Updates you make to your overall site (for example, hiding, deleting, and customizing) are not live in the iTunes U catalog until you publish your changes, enabling you to stage and preview your updates before they are live to your users. However, once you publish a course and it is live in the iTunes U catalog, changes you make are live without clicking Publish.
Publish your site
In Public Site Manager , click Publish, then review and correct any publishing errors.
If your site does not meet the publishing criteria, iTunes U Public Site Manager displays a list of warning messages indicating the changes you need to make before you can publish your site live to your users. For example, if you see “The provider page does not have features boxes that are populated”, click Pages, click your provider page title, and edit your provider page to include at least one populated feature box.
Review your new, updated, hidden, and to be hidden content.
iTunes U Public Site Manager displays a list of your pending changes; including new pages, pages containing updates, and pages to be deleted or hidden. Pending changes can be related to your courses and provider page, as well as additional changes you made to your site (for example, modification of theme values).
Click Publish Site.
iTunes U Public Site Manager publishes all updated pages listed in the Publish view at once.
When your first publish is complete, Apple sends you an email indicating your content is now publicly available in the iTunes U catalog.
The first time you publish your site, it can take up to 3 hours to display your site in the iTunes U catalog and to display your site name in the iTunes U providers lists. Depending on your changes, subsequent publish requests can take several minutes to an hour before the changes are live.
