iTunes U allows anyone with an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to learn from a large collection of free education content; including public courses from leading schools, universities, museums, and cultural institutions. Browsing the iTunes U catalog of free education content, users can:
Share favorite courses with friends using Twitter, Facebook, Mail, and Messages
Choose from a variety of free lectures, videos, books, and other resources on a wide range of subjects from leading educational and cultural institutions around the world
View materials from Stanford, MIT, Yale, La Trobe University, University of Tokyo, Smithsonian Libraries, National Theatre, and many more
Public Site Manager is the tool dedicated to helping you manage your public courses in the iTunes U catalog. With Public Site Manager, you have administrative tools for managing your institution’s site and controlling your organization’s content and pages in the iTunes U catalog. Using Public Site Manager you can define one or more administrators and contributors to help you create, edit, and manage your iTunes U site and content.
Public Site Manager provides a publishing feature, allowing you to stage edits to your site and publish changes incrementally. Once published, users can browse and download your public courses on any iOS device using the iTunes U app. They can then consume that content on their wireless devices for listening, viewing, and learning on the go.
