Follow games with real-time stats
When viewing today’s games on the scores screen, you can see an overview of all of the games currently in progress, with scores and game clocks tracking every moment and updating stats in real time.
When you turn on Live Activities, you can get real-time information on your iPhone Lock Screen or your Apple Watch so that you can follow every moment of the game with just a quick glance (requires iOS 18 and watchOS 11).
Get detailed information during a game
Go to the Apple Sports app on your iPhone to see today’s games in progress.
To choose which games appear, tap , then tap an option from the list. See View scores in the Apple Sports app.
Tap a game for more details.
On the game card screen, do any of the following:
View real-time stats including betting odds: Scroll to view stats or tap a statistics tab if it appears to see more details on a game.
Note: Different stats appear depending upon the sport and league.
Go to another game in progress: Swipe left or right to view another game card on the live schedule.
Watch the game: Tap Open in Apple TV to see viewing options in the Apple TV app.
Note: Friday Night Baseball games and MLS matches begin playing immediately in the Apple TV app if you’re signed in to the same Apple Account and you’ve subscribed to Apple TV+ or MLS Season Pass. All other games open a list of viewing options in the Apple TV app.
Swipe down from the game card screen to return to scores.
Turn on Live Activities during a game
Turn on Live Activities to get real-time game alerts on your iPhone Lock Screen or Apple Watch (requires iOS 18 or watchOS 11).
Go to the Apple Sports app on your iPhone to see today’s games in progress.
Note: To set which games appear in the app, see View scores in the Apple Sports app.
Tap a game for more details.
On the game card screen, tap , then swipe down from the game card to return to scores.
On your iPhone Lock Screen or your Apple Watch, alerts appear during the game with real-time updates, scores, and plays.
To return to the game card screen in the Apple Sports app on iPhone, tap the Live Activities alert on the iPhone Lock Screen.
To stop Live Activities alerts during a game, do either of the following:
On the iPhone Lock Screen, swipe left on a Live Activities alert.
On the game card screen in the Apple Sports app, tap .
To set which teams you follow automatically have Live Activities turned on or how frequently you receive game updates, follow the instructions in Manage Live Activities.
