Get AppleCare One to cover your devices

If you own multiple Apple devices, you can get AppleCare One and cover all eligible devices in one AppleCare plan.

Consider the following benefits and expectations for AppleCare One:¹

• With AppleCare One Individual, you'll start with coverage for up to three eligible devices for one monthly cost, with the option to purchase additional coverage for more of your devices.

• With AppleCare One Family, you can cover all of your eligible devices, even if you're not a part of a Family Sharing group. If you're in a Family Sharing group, you can get Family to cover your family members' devices, too. Learn more about AppleCare One for Family Sharing groups

• Devices might be eligible to add immediately, require a device check, or be ineligible for AppleCare One coverage. Learn more about how to swap covered devices or add more devices to your AppleCare One plan.

• One Apple Vision Pro can be covered with AppleCare One Individual, and six Apple Vision Pro devices can be covered with Family. You can swap covered devices or purchase a single AppleCare+ plan for each additional Apple Vision Pro.

• For iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, Theft and Loss coverage is included with your AppleCare One plan, with up to three total claims per year for AppleCare One Individual and six total claims per year for Family.

Start an AppleCare One plan

1. Sign in to your Apple Account on a device that meets the following requirements:

   • iPhone with iOS 18.5 or later

   • iPad with iPadOS 18.5 or later

   • Mac with macOS 15.5 or later

   • Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 2.5 or later

2. Open Settings, then General, then AppleCare & Warranty on your device

3. Select an eligible device, such as a newly purchased device or a device with current AppleCare coverage (or with coverage that ended within 45 days).

4. Under AppleCare One, select “eligible devices" to find devices that are eligible for AppleCare One.

   1. If a device appears under Ready to Add, it can be added to the plan without any additional steps.

   2. If a device appears under Action Needed, you'll need to complete a device check to check eligibility for coverage before being added to the plan.

   3. If you don't see one of your devices, consider the following factors:

      • If the device should be eligible, you might need to sign in to your Apple Account on that device or pair it with one of your Apple devices associated with your Apple Account first (for example, AirPods).

      • Some devices might be eligible for coverage after an Apple-certified repair.

      • Some devices will not be eligible to add to the plan, and these will not be visible before subscribing to AppleCare One.

   4. To subscribe to AppleCare One, close the screen with the eligible device list and follow the onscreen steps to select the devices you want to add and complete your purchase. For Family, all eligible devices will automatically be added to your plan.²

You can verify that your devices are covered by AppleCare One by checking coverage online, or use a device associated with your Apple Account and open AppleCare & Warranty in the Settings app.

If you purchase a new Apple product

When purchasing a new product from Apple, you can start an AppleCare One plan. If you don't start AppleCare One when you purchase your new device, you can start an AppleCare One plan within 60 days after purchase.

If you upgrade from an active AppleCare plan

You can upgrade to an AppleCare One plan if your device is covered by an active AppleCare plan. This will automatically cancel your previous AppleCare plan, and you'll receive a refund based on the percentage of unexpired AppleCare plan coverage. If the original plan was paid upfront in full, this will be sent as an Apple Gift Card.

If you have coverage through the iPhone Upgrade Program or AppleCare Services

If your device is covered by an iPhone Upgrade Program (iUP) plan, you’ll need to contact Apple Support to cancel your AppleCare+ plan before your device can become eligible for AppleCare One.

If your device is covered by an AppleCare Services plan, you need to contact your AppleCare Services vendor for options before being able to start an AppleCare One plan with this device.
