Mac mini (2024) Antenna Connector Board
Before You Begin
Remove the following parts before you begin:
Tools
Adjustable torque driver (10–34 Ncm)
Antenna tool
Nylon probe (black stick)
Torx Plus 5IP 50 mm bit
Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.
Caution
This procedure requires System Configuration. After you’ve completed all removal and reassembly steps, learn how to initiate the System Configuration process.
Removal
Lift the end of the power button cable off the connector on the antenna connector board.
Use the antenna tool to lift the ends of the three antenna coaxial cables off the connectors.
Turn over the antenna plate as shown.
Use the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 5IP bit to remove the four 5IP screws (923-11055) from the antenna connector board.
Caution: Hold the antenna connector board as you remove the screws so the antenna connector board doesn't fall out of the antenna plate.
Turn over the antenna plate. Remove the antenna connector board from the antenna plate.
Reassembly
Position the antenna connector board on the antenna plate.
Caution: Ensure that no cables are trapped under the antenna connector board.
Turn over the antenna plate as shown.
Set the torque value on the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 12 Ncm.
Use the adjustable torque driver and 5IP bit to reinstall the four 5IP screws (923-11055) into the antenna connector board.
Caution: Hold the antenna connector board as you reinstall the screws so the antenna connector board doesn't fall out of the antenna plate.
Turn over the antenna plate. Use the blunt end of the antenna tool to press the ends of the three antenna coaxial cables to the connectors.
Press the end of the power button cable to the connector on the antenna connector board.
Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:
