You can type Siri queries using the onscreen keyboard on Apple TV, a connected wireless Bluetooth keyboard, or an iOS or iPadOS device. When Type to Siri is turned on, you can also dictate text instead of entering it.
In Settings on Apple TV, go to Accessibility, then turn on Type To Siri.
Press the Siri button on the Siri Remote, then do any of the following:
Enter text using Siri Remote (2nd generation or later): Press left, right, up, or down on the clickpad ring, swipe across the clickpad, or tap the left or right side of the clickpad to highlight an onscreen character, then press the clickpad center to select the character.
To switch keyboards, press the Play/Pause button , or select uppercase, lowercase, numbers, or special symbols onscreen.
Enter text using Siri Remote (1st generation): Swipe across the touch surface, or tap the left or right side of the touch surface to highlight an onscreen character, then press the touch surface to select the character.
To switch keyboards, press the Play/Pause button , or select uppercase, lowercase, numbers, or special symbols onscreen.
Enter text using a wireless Bluetooth keyboard: Make sure the keyboard is connected to Apple TV, then use it to enter text. See Connect Bluetooth devices to Apple TV.
