Set up your Apple ID media and purchase settings on Mac
You use Media & Purchases preferences to change the media and purchases settings associated with your Apple ID.
Sign in to the App Store or Apple Books with your Apple ID to make the Media & Purchases preferences available in the Apple ID sidebar.
Open Apple ID preferences for me
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Apple ID, then select Media & Purchases in the sidebar.
If you haven’t signed in to your Apple ID, click Sign In and type your Apple ID information. Follow the onscreen instructions.
Select or change the following:
Account: Click Manage to view and change your Apple ID settings used for purchases and subscriptions for iTunes Store, App Store, Book Store, and more.
Use TouchID for Purchases: Click this check box to use TouchID to complete purchases for iTunes Store, App Store, and Book Store. When you make a sequence of purchases, you can specific whether a password is required for each purchase or only after a period of 15 minutes has elapsed since the last purchase.
For free downloads, click Require Password to require a password with each download, or click Save Password to have a saved password used automatically for free downloads.
For purchases and in-app purchases, click Always Require to require a password with each purchase or click “Require after 15 minutes” to not require passwords be entered for purchase made within the same 15-minute interval. To save your password in the app so that you can enter it automatically, click Save Password.
Subscriptions: Click Manage to review and change your current subscriptions for iTunes Store, News, and more.
Purchase History: Click Manage to review your history of purchases for iTunes Store, App Store, Book Store, and more. This option appears only if you’ve made purchases.
