
Find group photos and videos on Mac
The Photos app groups people and pets who often appear together in photos and videos, and sorts them into group collections. For example, if you have many pictures of your family or group of friends, Photos uses on-device technology to create a collection for each of those groups.
Find group photos and videos
Go to the Photos app
on your Mac.
Click Collections in the sidebar, then click People & Pets (or People).
Double-click a group to see your photos of that group.
When you open a group, you see a summary of the best photos. To see all the photos in that group, click All in the toolbar.
To share the photos in the group, click in the toolbar, then choose a share option.
Edit or delete a group
Go to the Photos app
on your Mac.
Click Collections in the sidebar, then click People & Pets (or People).
Below Groups, Control-click the group you want to edit, then do any of the following:
Add people: Choose Add People, then select the people you want to add.
Remove people: Choose Remove People, then select the people you want to remove.
Rename the group: Choose Rename this Group, type a new name, then click Rename.
Delete the group: Choose Remove this Group, then click Delete Group.
Change the order of groups
Go to the Photos app
on your Mac.
Click Collections in the sidebar, then click People & Pets (or People).
Drag each group to a new position.
