See if your Mac works with new products in System Information
When you’re considering buying a new hardware or software product, you can use System Information to find out if your Mac meets the minimum requirements for the product, such as memory, processor speed or video card requirements.
Open System Information for me
To open System Information on your Mac, click the Launchpad icon
in the Dock, click Other, then click System Information.
In general, if the configuration listed in System Information equals or exceeds the minimum requirements for the new product, you should be able to use it.
