End your Classroom class
If you’re using Managed Apple IDs, you can sign out students so each device is ready for the next class.
If the students each have their own devices, they simply save the data to their devices or, for the apps that support it, to the cloud.
Log students out of their Shared iPad devices
When you want to end a session, you can log out all students. When students are logged out of their iPad devices, any documents they were working on are pushed to the cloud and are available the next time they sign in.
Note: Shared iPad and Managed Apple IDs are required for this action.
Open the Classroom app on your Mac, then do one of the following:
Select all the students.
Select a specific group.
Select one or more students.
Choose Actions > Log out iPads, then click Done.
An app icon appears on the Log Out screen of an iPad if the app on the iPad hasn’t finished pushing its documents to the cloud. When finished, its app icon disappears.
Log out a student from iPad
You can log out a single student. When the student is logged out of their iPad, any documents they were working on are pushed to the cloud and are available the next time they sign in.
Note: Shared iPad and Managed Apple IDs are required for this action.
Open the Classroom app on your Mac, then select the student.
Choose Actions > Log out iPads, then click Done.
An app icon appears on the Log Out screen of the iPad if the app hasn’t finished pushing its documents to the cloud. When the app has finished this task, the app icon disappears.
