Set up your admin-created class in Classroom
Before class, use Classroom to get each device ready for students. If the students are using iPad devices, Shared iPad and Managed Apple IDs are required for this action.
Select a class
Open the Classroom app on your Mac.
Select the class you want to conduct.
After you select a class, you can guide the student experience.
Assign students to Shared iPad
Open the Classroom app on your Mac, then do one of the following:
Select all the students.
Select a specific group.
Select specific students.
Choose Actions > Assign iPads, then select a device group to assign the student group to the selected device group.
Prepare students in a one on one iPad arrangement
Make sure students can use their iPad to sign into iCloud with their Apple ID or Managed Apple ID.
Prepare students who use Mac computers
Make sure students can use their Macs to sign into iCloud with their Apple IDs or Managed Apple IDs.
