Mobile MDM payload settings for Apple devices
You can configure Mobile Service settings for users of an iPhone, iPad, Shared iPad or Apple Watch enrolled in a mobile device management (MDM) solution. These settings define how the device connects to the provider’s network. Use the Mobile payload to change the proxy settings for an iPhone device’s Access Point Name (APN) and mobile network. These settings define how the device connects to the carrier’s network. Change these settings only if instructed to do so by a carrier network expert. If they’re incorrect, the device can’t access data using the mobile network. To undo a change to these settings, remove the profile from the device.
The Mobile payload supports the following. For more information, see Payload information.
Supported payload identifier: com.apple.cellular
Supported operating systems and channels: iOS, iPadOS, Shared iPad device, watchOS 10.
Supported enrolment methods: Device Enrolment, Automated Device Enrolment.
Duplicates allowed: True — only one Mobile Data payload can be delivered to a device.
