Remotely access your smart home accessories from Apple Watch
If you have an Apple TV (3rd generation or later), HomePod, or an iPad (iPadOS 13 or iOS 10 or later) that you leave at home, you can remotely access HomeKit-enabled accessories from your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch. The Apple TV, HomePod, or iPad acts as a home hub that lets you communicate with your accessories when you’re away from home.
Allow remote access
On your iPhone, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud, then turn on Home. Make sure you’re signed in using the same Apple ID on all the devices.
If you have an Apple TV and you’re signed in using the same Apple ID as your iPhone, it will be paired automatically. To set up your iPad to allow remote access, see the Home chapter of the iPad User Guide.
