Choose print options before you print on Mac
When you print a document, you can set options for paper size, scaling, layout, double-sided printing, and more. To see them, choose File > Print, then scroll down and click a category such as Layout, Paper Handling, or Media & Quality. The available options depend on your printer and the app you’re printing from.
To set a default paper size for new documents, go to Printers & Scanners settings, then choose a size from the “Default paper size” pop-up menu.
