Change Sharing settings on Mac
On your Mac, use Sharing settings to set options for sharing your computer, files, printers, media, and more.
To change these settings, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Sharing on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
Note: If your Mac is enrolled in a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, some sharing settings may be unavailable.

File Sharing | Allow other users to access shared folders on your Mac, and allow administrators to access all volumes. Click the Info button to set file sharing options. | ||||||||||

Content Caching | Reduce bandwidth usage and speed up installation on supported devices by storing downloaded software updates, applications, and other content on your Mac. Click the Info button to set content caching options. | ||||||||||
Bluetooth Sharing | Allow Bluetooth® file sharing. Click the Info button to set Bluetooth sharing options. | ||||||||||
Printer Sharing | Allow others on your network to use printers connected to your Mac. Click the Info button to set printer sharing options. See Share your printer. | ||||||||||

Remote Management | Allow others to access your Mac using Apple Remote Desktop. Click the Info button to set remote management options. | ||||||||||

Local hostname | The local network name of your Mac. Click Edit to change your computer’s local hostname or use a dynamic global hostname. |
