Share files and folders in iCloud Drive on iCloud.com
You can use iCloud Drive to share files and folders with others so you can collaborate on projects together. The people you invite can download the shared items from iCloud to any of their devices, where they can view them and—depending on the privileges you set—collaborate. You can see any updates the next time you open the files on iCloud.com.
Go to icloud.com/iclouddrive, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Select
next to the file or folder you want to share, then choose Share. (On a computer, hold your pointer over the file or folder until
appears.)Choose who can access the file or folder:
People you choose: Allow only people you invite to access the file or folder. If you select the checkbox next to Access Requests, the first person to visit the link is given access, then anyone else with the link can ask you for access.
Anyone with the Link: Allow anyone who receives the link to access the file or folder. If you choose this option, people you invite can share the link and give access to others not included in your original invitation.
Choose New Participant options (you can adjust these settings later in Manage sharing for files and folders):
Edit: Allow new participants to edit the file or folder.
View and Download Only: Allow anyone who visits the link to view and download the file or folder.
Select Create Link, select Copy Link, then send it to the person you want to share with.
When you share a folder, all items inside the folder have the same access and edit options as the parent folder. To change access or new participant options, you need to change the settings of the shared folder. You can’t select an individual file or folder within the shared folder and add participants to it.
To add or remove participants, or to stop sharing the file, see Manage sharing for files and folders.
If you have shared Pages, Numbers, or Keynote files in iCloud Drive, you can view and edit them using Pages, Numbers, or Keynote on iCloud.com.
