Ultra Wideband information
Ultra Wideband is available on the MagSafe Charging Case for AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3. Availability varies by region.
Ultra Wideband is active only when the charging case is in close proximity to a paired Ultra Wideband-compatible Apple device and during a user-initiated finding session.
Ultra Wideband must be turned off when onboard aircraft, ships, and other prohibited regions by turning on Airplane Mode on a paired Ultra Wideband-compatible Apple device. To turn on Airplane Mode on a paired Ultra Wideband-compatible Apple device, open Control Center, then tap . You can also turn Airplane Mode on or off in Settings
. When Airplane Mode is on,
appears in the status bar.
Ultra Wideband features require a paired Ultra Wideband-compatible Apple device.
Australia: Ultra Wideband transmitters must not be operated within a nominated distance from specified Australian radio-astronomy sites.
