
Get started with Apple Intelligence on Mac
Apple Intelligence* is the personal intelligence system built into macOS Sequoia. It combines the power of generative models with an understanding of your personal context to deliver intelligence that’s useful and relevant, all while protecting your privacy.
Note: Apple Intelligence is available in macOS 15.1 or later on Mac models with M1 or later. Apple Intelligence is not available in all languages or regions. Turn on Apple Intelligence
If Apple Intelligence is off, you can turn it on. Choose Apple menu , then do one of the following:
Click the button next to Apple Intelligence.
Click Turn on Apple Intelligence.
The option you see is based on the version of macOS you have and if you’ve previously set up Apple Intelligence.

Turn on the ChatGPT extension, which integrates with Siri and Writing Tools, to get access to even more expertise—including the ability to compose text from scratch.

Reduce the noise and focus
Apple Intelligence can summarize notifications and reduce interruptions, showing you the information most important to you.
Use Apple Intelligence with apps

Turn off Apple Intelligence
Choose Apple menu , then click the button next to Apple Intelligence.
