
Present during a FaceTime call in Keynote on Mac
You can play your presentation during a FaceTime call so the call’s participants can view it at the same time on their own devices. As the presenter, you control when the presentation starts and stops, and can make changes to your presenter notes.
While on a FaceTime video call on your Mac, go to the Keynote app
.
Open the presentation you want to play.
Click the slide you want to start with in the slide navigator, click
in the toolbar, then click Share Slideshow in the prompt.
The slideshow window and the presenter display appear in two windows on your screen, while the slideshow window is shared with the video call participants.
Note: If you don’t see the presenter display, move the pointer over the top part of the slideshow window and click
, or choose Play > Show Presenter Display in Window from the Play menu at the top of your screen.
To start the presentation, press the Space bar or Right Arrow key. To learn more about how to customize and control a presentation, see Present in a window.
To change how windows appear on your screen, click
, then use the controls to make your changes.
To stop sharing the presentation, press the Esc key.
Tip: With macOS Sonoma 14 or later, you can use Presenter Overlay in FaceTime so participants see you and the presentation at the same time. Click in the menu bar, click Presenter Overlay, then choose a Presenter Overlay size.
