Enter TCP/IP settings on Mac

If your network administrator or ISP provides you with network settings such as an IPv4 or IPv6 address, you can enter them in TCP/IP settings.

See Change TCP/IP settings.

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Network in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Open Network settings for me
Click the network service you want to use, then click Details.
Click TCP/IP.
If you received an IPv4 address, click the Configure IPv4 pop-up menu, choose an option, then enter the IPv4 address, subnet mask, and router address.
If you received an IPv6 address, click the Configure IPv6 pop-up menu, choose an option, then enter the router address, IPv6 address, and prefix length.
If provided, enter the DHCP Client ID.
Click OK.
