Brand identity attributes in Apple Business
You can add a new brand to your organization in Apple Business. This lets customers find it in Maps, Apple Wallet, Siri, and more. You can also update information about any brands you’ve already configured.
Before you add a brand name and logo in Apple Business, you should understand the brand attributes and requirements. Apple verifies and approves the brand and logo to make sure they meet the standards and guidelines before you can use them.
Note: Brand names and logos need to be approved by Apple and it can take up to five business days for this information to appear in Apple services for your customers.
Requirements
The following information is required to add a brand in Apple Business.
Country or region
Primary category (for example, a restaurant, gym, or library)
Website (it needs to use https://)
A Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok page can also be used.
Apple Business has two options when creating a brand:
Single brand: Use this if you don’t have a physical location where customers can go or for a small business.
Multiple brands: Use this if you have brands in multiple countries or regions.
For example: Melard Clothing (US), Melard Clothing (CA), Melard Clothing (GB), and so on. When you create additional brands at the country level, make sure to select the corresponding country code from the list.
Brand ownership
Brands can be owned or franchised:
Brand is owned: If your organization owns the brand name and logo, they’re authorized to use anywhere your organization is represented.
Brand is a franchise: In a franchise, the branding and operations of a business is licensed from a franchisor.
Brand logo requirements
Brand logos are used on associated Apple features you set up. Your logo should show an easily recognizable graphic element or illustration that identifies your brand. This is a small space, so keep legibility in mind. Also, a brand logo filename can contain numbers and spaces.
When you add a logo it appears on everything that’s associated with the brand, including:
Every cover photo for every location (Logos won’t display on the place card until you add a cover photo)
Every merchant ID
Every domain or branded email
Important: Before you add a brand logo, make sure you review the Photo and text standards and guidelines.
