2. Get verification from your EHR vendor
During this step, you obtain a FHIR base URL and configuration details for Health app data Share with Provider by requesting an access code. This information is used by the Health app to send your patients’ data to your EHR application.
On the FHIR API Profile screen, click Request.
An email is sent to your EHR vendor. Your vendor verifies your organization, sends a FHIR base URL to Apple, and generates a secure access code.
Check your email for a message from Apple with the title “Access code granted.”
Important: For security, the email is sent to your vendor’s designated contact in your organization. If you’re not the designated contact, identify who is, and ask your colleague to look for the email from Apple with the title “Access code granted.”
When the message arrives, open it, then copy the access code contained in the message.
Return to the FHIR API Profile screen, then click Enter Access Code at the top right.
Paste the access code into the window, then click Done.
