Claim your healthcare organization
The 21st Century Cures Act requires that healthcare providers give patients access to all of the health information in their electronic medical records, without delay or fees. To give patients this access in the Health app, Apple uses public FHIR APIs to add healthcare organizations to the Health Records Directory and the Apple Business Register. This is possible for organizations who use an R4-supported EHR system.
If your healthcare organization appears in the Health app but hasn’t gone through the registration process, Apple added it. To claim your organization, just write to health_records_support@apple.com.
Claiming your organization allows you to:
Add a test patient to perform end-to-end testing and monitor FHIR API connectivity in the Health app.
Receive Apple Health Records support, including routine automated checks on FHIR API connectivity.
Keep your information up to date, such as location information and address details.
Customize the branding and how a listing is displayed in the Health app—and update it as needed.
Add logos to improve patient experience in Health app.
Securely receive patient data—including heart rate, blood pressure, exercise minutes, hours of sleep, lab results, heart health notifications, and immunizations—using Health app data Share with Provider (supported EHR systems only).
