Make geometric selections in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
You can use any of the several geometric selection tools to make specifically shaped selections.
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, select a layer in the Layers sidebar.
Select any of the shape selection tools from the tool group the Tools sidebar:
Rectangular Selection
Oval Selection
Row Selection
Column Selection
Do either of the following:
For rectangular and elliptical selections: Drag in the canvas to make a selection.
Tip: Press and hold Shift while dragging to select a perfect square or circle.
For row and column selections: In the Row Selection pane or Column Selection pane, enter a row height or column width, then click in the canvas to make a selection, or drag in the canvas to reposition the selection.
Note: By default, a row selection is the full canvas width, and a column selection is the full canvas height. You can adjust the width or height of the selection using the adjustment handles around the selection.
