Apply styles to layers in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
Use the style tool to quickly add fills, strokes, shadows, and gradients to a layer. You can also use the Style tool to adjust the opacity and blend mode of a layer.
Apply a fill, stroke, or shadow to a layer
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, select a layer in the Layers sidebar.
Select
in the Tools sidebar.
In the Style pane, turn on any of the following settings:
Fill: Fills the layer with a color, gradient, or pattern.
Stroke: Adds an outline to a layer.
Shadow: Adds a drop shadow to a layer.
Inner Shadow: Adds an inner shadow to a layer.
If you don’t see a style in the Style sidebar, click Add Style, then choose a style.
Copy a layer style from one layer to another
You can copy and paste a layer’s style to other layers.
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, select a layer (in the Layers sidebar) with a style applied, then choose Styles > Copy Styles.
Control-click the layer you want to apply the copied style to, then choose Styles > Paste Styles.
Tip: You can also apply one layer’s style to other layers using layer style presets.
Flatten layer styles
Flattening (or rasterizing) all the styles applied to a layer can be useful when you want to make edits to a layer after applying styles.
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, select a layer (in the Layers sidebar) with a style applied, then choose Styles > Flatten Styles.
Remove a style
When you remove a layer style, its effect is removed from the image layer, and its controls are removed from the style.
In Pixelmator Pro on Mac, select a layer (in the Layers sidebar) with a style applied.
In the Style pane, click
next to the style you want to remove.
