Change Privacy & Security Advanced settings on Mac
On your Mac, use the Advanced pane in Privacy & Security settings to adjust the security settings of your Mac.
To change these settings, choose Apple menu > System settings, click Privacy & Security in the sidebar, then click Advanced on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)

Option | Description |
---|---|
Require an administrator password to access system-wide settings | Prevent users from changing locked system settings without an administrator’s password. |
Log out automatically after inactivity | Automatically log out users after the Mac is idle. |
Log out after | Automatically log out users after the Mac is idle for the specified number of minutes. |
Turn on screen saver when login token is removed | Turn on the screen saver on your Mac when a Smart Card containing a login token is removed. (This option appears when you insert a Smart Card that has been added to your login keychain.) |
