If you need a new version of an app
If you recently installed a new version of macOS, you may need to install a new version of one or more apps that you downloaded from the App Store.
See which version of an app you have
On your Mac, click in the Dock to open a Finder window.
Click Applications in the Finder window sidebar.
Select the app, then choose File > Get Info or press Command-I.
The version is shown in the General section.
Get the latest version of an app
Go to the App Store app on your Mac.
Click Updates in the sidebar.
Click the Update button next to the app you want to update. You can also click Update All to get all available app updates.
