Customise the calibration using the Pro Display Calibrator
If your workflow requires custom calibration, such as graphic design or video editing, you can recalibrate your display using the Pro Display Calibrator to suit your needs.
Note: These options only appear when you’re using Apple Pro Display XDR, Apple Studio Display, a 14-inch MacBook Pro (2021 or later) or a 16-inch MacBook Pro (2021 or later).
Calibrate your display
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)Click the display that you want to recalibrate, click the Preset pop-up menu, then click Calibrate Display.
After the Pro Display Calibrator opens, choose one of the options described in the table below.

Recalibrates the white point, primaries, luminance and gamma response of your display. Use this option if you have a compatible spectroradiometer. | |||||||||||
Measures and adjusts the white point and luminance values to the expected values of your target. Use this option as a quicker alternative to full calibration. | |||||||||||
Visually adjusts the white point of your display with a colour grid. Use this option if you need to adjust your display to visually match white point to other displays. | |||||||||||
Reset the calibration of your display
You can return your display to its factory calibration using the Pro Display Calibrator.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
Click the display that you want to recalibrate, click the Preset pop-up menu, then click Calibrate Display.
After the Pro Display Calibrator opens, click Reset All.
