Find the location of your friends on iCloud.com
After you ask friends to share their locations and they accept, you can see their locations on a map in Find My Friends on iCloud.com.
On the map, your friends are represented by orange dots with their initials or profile pictures. Your location appears as a blue dot . The shadows around the dots indicate the location’s accuracy (the smaller the shadow, the better).
See nearby friends
In Find My Friends on iCloud.com, click Nearby Friends to see friends who are currently near your location. The distance between you and your friends is also displayed (if your device can be located).
Note: Make sure your computer is connected to Wi-Fi and you allow Find My Friends to access your location. If not, you will not see your current location (blue dot) on the map or the distance between you and your friends in the Friends list.
See a friend’s location
In Find My Friends on iCloud.com, click a friend, then do any of the following:
Move the map: hold down the mouse or trackpad button, then drag the map. On a trackpad, you can also drag using two fingers.
Zoom in: click or pinch open on a trackpad.
Zoom out: click or pinch closed on a trackpad.
Change the map view: click the current view in the top right-hand corner, then click the view you want (Standard, Hybrid or Satellite).
Note: If Location Not Available appears below a friend’s name, ask the friend to make sure that the device sharing their location is online, is signed in with their Apple ID, has Find My (or Find My Friends) turned on in Settings > Privacy > Location Services and is still sharing their location. See the Apple Support article If Find My Friends isn’t working.
Change distance units
You can see distances on the map in miles or kilometres.
In Find My Friends on iCloud.com, click Me.
In the Distances section, choose In Miles or In Kilometres from the pop-up menu, then click Done.
